MIDI express xt/usb (new one) clockworks not working

Hello all.
Motu MIDI express XT usb.
Win7/64bit
Sonar platinum

I'll be working just fine, close down everything for the night, open up the following morning, and clockworks doesn't recognize my MIDI express XT usb.
It only opens up to the 'configuration widow'.
I've Uninstalled/reinstalled the motu software, reset the hardware, the unit is connected to a powered usb 2.0 hub, as suggested by motu's service tech.
Nothing...nothing, will make clockworks find the device.
The powered usb hub works positively. I tried a mouse through it. I tried my phone through it. The phone connects to the pc, as well.as charges the phone, so the connection works.
Not only that, when I connect the MIDI express to the powered usb, windows shows the alert 'found device, installing required software/drivers...then will return with 'installed successfully'.
So windows knows it's there but clockworks hasn't a clue...

Do you?
