UltraLite mk3 Hybrid. No sound after upgrade Motu drivers

Post by Piing »

Motu UltraLite mk3 Hybrid
Windows 10
USB 3.0
PC: Lenovo Twist

Everything was working fine until I upgraded the drivers to MOTU Universal Audio Installer 4.0.5.9644. There is no sound from the PC (although the device is selected as default) and no sound from the DAW (Sonar X3) - unless I select the Motu through Asio4All -

I have uninstalled the drivers, installed the older version 4.0.5.8373, and it works again. :D

What is happening with 4.0.5.9644? Is it working fine for everybody?

Thank You

It works for me, but be careful about how you update your drivers in Windows.

See this post and try those steps out.

Especially if you tried installing and uninstalling several times, you may find the same nightmare in the Device Manager that I did.

Good luck!

Yes! It works after following your detailed instructions!

Thank you for your help. :D

Motu should design a proper uninstaller to upgrade his software
