Hi All
I would like to use a 24Ao as a Live 'Stagebox DSP Brain', taking the inputs through the DSP Mixer, then routing each INDIVIDUAL channel (post-DSP) up the AVB Cat-5 to another 24Ao, breaking out to 24 Analog channels.
I won't be using the Mixer to 'Sum' the channels, just to EQ, Comp and Gate them.
The problem is the Mixer - either it needs a 'Direct Output' routing Post-fader on each channel, or 24 Aux sends to feed one output per channel.
Could MOTU add Direct Outs to its Mixer, if requested?
This would greatly increase its usefulness!
How many Auxes can the Mixer have maximum?
The tech spec just says '12 Stereo Busses', which doesn't mean anything useful...
Thanks!

Re: 24Ao Mixer Outputs
Hey Katsu, can't you just check the relevant output boxes for each input in the routing grid? If so, hopefully this will send the post-processing signal to where you want it.
I've not received any of my AVB units yet and therefore am just guessing.
Of course you'll have to pipe those channels as AVB streams to the 2nd unit first for your purposes, and I've no idea how that works; perhaps they're just available for any unit hooked into the network.
Failing this possibly-terrible advice's working for you, EMRR might make an appearance; he's all over this stuff.

Re: 24Ao Mixer Outputs
OK thanks.
I _think_ what I need is the Input 'Post-FX' section, but it's not fully displayed (or described) in the guide, so can't see for sure.
Sorry for posting, won't do it again.

Perhaps it's all technically post-processing, and that you'd just turn it off (processing) on a per-channel basis if you don't need it.
Mind you, the system's so sophisticated that you'd expect a more elegant solution, and I'll bet there is one.

Mate, don't be silly. Post as much as you need to, by all means, please!Katsu999 wrote:Sorry for posting, won't do it again.
