I am considering purchasing a 2408 mk3 for and a/d converter for my external preamps. I have hard the mk3 will work in standalone mode. The 2408 mk3 would not come with a PCI card. I run Pro Tools 10.3 on Windows 7 with a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 audio interface.
