Motu 896 HD not recognized by computer

Hi all,

I recently purchased a used 896 HD interface off of ebay. I downloaded the most recent driver for it (as advised by Motu support) but it is still not working. I ruled out the possibility that it's my computer or the firewire cable. The machine lights up, so it's definitely powered on, but somehow not recognizable.

Any advice on how to troubleshoot this problem? I'm really hoping that it's not the interface itself. Thanks.
