what about Motu's interfaces and Windows 8 ?

Post by azeroth »

Hi guys,

i'm looking for a new audio interface and i would prefer working with products that fit pretty good with DP8 on windows 8. As i can see on the internet, it seems that too many people had issues with Motu hardware and i'm trying to find comfort after bad reviews about MOTU interfaces.

Does anybody could give me feedbacks about MOTU products that works pretty well on PC working on WIndows 8 ?

I saw some rebates (sometimes 30 or 40% off) on MOTU 2408MKIII or 24I/O on internet with PCIe cards. Could it be a great deal for me, and do you think this kind of audio interface that use PCIe cards could be supported for a long time knowing that many manufacturers seem to abandon this solution for the thunderbolt or USB connection ?

Thank you for your help and have a nice day !;-)

I'm using a 2408MkIII with a PCIe 424 in Windows 8.1 with no problems.

Ultralite Hybrid updated to latest firmware and latest audio driver package (re)installed on Vista, 7 and 8.1 one week ago.

Upgrades went flawlessly and no significant issues so far.
