Microbook II: Sound Output Randomly Distorts

Basically, as I play anything through the Microbook II it seems it just can't keep up and starts to distort/clip/sound like crap. Not sure if it's another device that's conflicting, I have no way to tell...

Hi there,

Have you checked you levels in CueMix - mixes?
Sound chain: MXL 990 condenser Mic > MOTU MicroBook II
DAW: Sonar X3

PC: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)
Hardware Components: ASUS M5A97 EVO R2; 8Gb DDR3 1866 RAM; AMD FX 6300 CPU
