Motu Traveller problem

Post by le_liz@rd` »

Hi!just upgraded my pc to windows 7 and downloaded the drivers for my traveller from the motu website.
Now on the problem, whenever i open an audio file there are small breaks-pauses in the audio and also, lots (if not all)of the out lights in the front panel light when that happens.

I have checked the motu audio console about the setting and everything seems fine.
Also,I havent uninstalled the motherboards sound card, which i had done in the past, before windows 7.

help is much appreciated,
william

So assume the traveler was working on this computer before you updated to Windows 7?

Please open the device manager then double click on the IEEE1394 Bus host controllers section. Right click the 1394 device that shows up and choose update driver software. Browse my computer. Let me pick.

Then choose to install the one with (Legacy) in its name. Click next, then ok and let it finish installing.

Test your sound and you should be happy at this point. :)

Also, if you have further troubles, please make sure that throttling of the cpu is disabled in the bios. On Asus, it's called Cool-n-Quite. Sometimes, software that loads with Windows is responsible for throttling instead.
