New drum play-though video. How's it sounding?

Post by Tesionman »

Howdy folks!

Its been a while since I posted something in this section.
Recorded this drum play-through of one of my band's tunes.
All drums are natural! No triggers or blended samples.
I try to avoid triggering and samples. I think trying to get a natural drum sound on records is a dying art form, unfortunately. Mainly rock and metal.
Nothing against triggers or samples, just think its so over used today that it starts sounding like a drum machine and not like a real drummer. Which is a shame.

Hope you enjoy!

Hi Hugo
really nice !
Did you mix it ?
Here's a short sample from a live recording that I mixed - I used to play guitar and maybe one can hear that  , on that sample I thought 'less drums please' ( as said the band too ) although I think it could be a little more during vocals…
