Very well done, Mike. I thought the music complimented the video perfectly.

Wondering about something...

Did you use the Truepianos VI from 4front, or is this (True Piano American) a separate piano available within MachFive? I don't have M5, so I'm kind of in the dark on this one.

Actually, I'm an idiot (but you knew that... LOL)

It's is True Keys!

http://www.vilabsaudio.com/truekeyspianos

It claims to be three pianos, but in fact, I am pretty sure it's one piano EQ'd in different ways. I say that because there is a distinct artifact in the sample that is clearly a part of the piano sound. I think it was around F#5 but can check again. Anyway, each of the three pianos has the same artifact (a bit of a "zing" in the sound - hammer too hard in a tiny spot perhaps). It's a dead giveaway that it's the same piano three times. The chances that they sampled three completely different pianos with the exact same tone issue in the same place at the same frequency is just such a slim chance that it is likely impossible.

I use it in MachFive but it also works in the UVI Workstation. The American sound is what I used here. The German is probably the actual instrument they sampled. The Italian version is a little brighter than the American. The German is the brightest. I do use all three depending on the gig and instrumentation, but it really plays like an acoustic and there's a lot of nice control in tone, damper & pedal noise, and especially, different mic placements and how they can be blended to get the exact sound you want. Highly recommended, just not to my competition... ha ha ha!

Thanks for the info. Nice observation regarding that lamely sampled note. As much as it sucks, I think it's kind of funny (for some strange reason). I wonder how difficult it would be for them to rectify that issue...
