TV Show Performance Accompanying A Jazz Singer

Post by wdegillio »

I’ve uploaded a new video to my YouTube Channel; a “blast from the past”, if you will. In August of 1997 I performed on the Los Angeles public-access television program “Images”, which featured the extremely talented jazz vocalist Ginger Jackson, a fellow USC student. We performed three songs and were interviewed by the show’s host. Hope you enjoy it.

Nice. It's kind of funny, from your avatar, I had assumed you play some kind of big 6-string bass. Now I can see you are holding a guitar out in front of you. Instant recalibration. Now I see it.

Thank you for checking it out, Jon. Thanks to your observation, I may have seen my subconscious at work when I took that picture; one of my favorite musicians is Anthony Jackson, who plays the 6-string bass exclusively. My conscious idea was to create a distinctive picture; maybe down deep I want to own and play a custom Fodera like his some day!

Well, now that I'm looking directly at your avatar, it is back to being a giant 6-string bass, and perhaps it would be unplayable were it not for your cartoonishly giant left hand.
