New YouTube Jazz-Rock Guitar Videos

Post by wdegillio »

I’ve finally uploaded two new videos to my YouTube Channel, Bill G Degillio Music. These most recent videos do not contain any narration or instructional comments (as do my previous ones) but are just demonstrations of one of my favorite ways to practice improvising- playing over a swinging play-along track using an overdrive/rock guitar tone. I shot the video on my iPad Air while simultaneously recording the guitar track into DP. I then imported the video, aligned the audio tracks to it, did a rough mix, then used Bounce to Disk to export it. Feel free to add any comments or suggestions for future videos Thanks in advance for checking them out!

Thank you for the compliment and for watching, wylie1.

I didn't notice it until you mentioned it, but the guitar sound is different on the second vid. The Mesa-Boogie Formula preamp I use is quite sensitive to playing dynamics, and since I did pick more aggressively on the Swing video, it gave me a more forward sound.
