Does MSI have "Purge?"

Post by lamboguy »

Hi Folks,

I'm using MSI all the time, along with Kontakt. Kontakt has a "Purge" function to drop all the samples not being played in the piece, thereby freeing up memory.

Does MSI have anything like that?

Also, my MSI is c.2005, are there any updates I should be aware of?

Thanks!

You can toggle disk streaming independently for each part (under Expert Mode > Streaming), which can help to manage RAM usage, but there's no "Purge" command like you're talking about.

Latest MSI is version 1.1.3, released late 2006 (Mac) / early 2007 (Windows).
"I don't see any method at all, sir."
