Symphonic Inst and Ethno in Pro Tools 8

Hi,
I've been using MSI and Ethno for a few years in DP4 and DP5, but am now experimenting with PT8; I can't seem to get PT8 to recognize MSI or Ethno.
Any tips on how to do this?
Mac OS 10.5
PT8
MSI /Ethno
M-Audio 2496
Thanks!
Lex

I don't normally use them in PT, so I hadn't looked, but you are absolutely right, they don't show up here either.
However MachFive is there, as well as Stylus, Omnisphere, Sampletank, BFD etc.
I notice the latest downloads for these plugs was September 2006, so perhaps MOTU needs to be told about this.
EDIT - I have added new Techlinks with MOTU,
Cheers
Stephen

I found discussion on this very subject here at Digi User Conference
http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=235798
including these comments:
"I had similar problems with motu ethno and i contacted motu they are aware it's not working with protools 8 and they said they are working on a update for it
for me ethno loaded up fine but i can't select any of the instrument"
"i had the same problem , with both Ethno & Msi , i contacted Motu , and i am still waiting for a replay...."
Cheers

You can load MSI and Ethno sounds in UVIWorkstation
http://www.uvisoundsource.com/uvi-workstation/article_info.php/articles_id/8
It's the free default UVISoundbanks player.
You just need to put shortcuts or aliases of MSI.dat, Ethno.dat and Ethno.ufs in the UVISoundbanks folder.
It still require that MSI and Ethno are installed so it can check their authorization.
Latest version of UVIWorkstation works perfectly in PT8.
Hope this helps.

Fixed my problem in Fl Studio, now using UVI I can access Motu MSi with stability and use it like I did years ago, I miss the combos, but it's lazy to use them anyway.
Thanks so much for the info!
