Problem with HOFA Plugins

Post by bayswater »

I installed three interesting looking free Hofa plugins (tilt, meter, and blind test). These passed the AU scan. I started working on an existing project, and did not load any of these plugins, but started getting a lot of beach ball spinning. Pressing play seized up DP for a minute, and no playback happened. The Save command was greyed out.

I quite DP, restarted it, and the same thing happened.

I went into Preferences and turned these three plugins off. When exiting preferences, the playback wiper started moving, save was available, and all was well.

Turning these plugins on and off a couple of times reliably reproduced the problems.

I don't know which of the three plugins were responsible, but thought it worth pointing out a bug is there somewhere.

This was with 9.13 so it might appear to be a Pre-gen thing, except I wasn't actually using any of these plugins.

Will report to MOTU and Hofa.
