Can you Bypass an effect in a V-Rack?

Post by Michael Canavan »

So yeah, All the instruments in the project are in V-Racks, the better to rearrange the set etc.
One instrument has a heavy effect on it (Speakerphone) I would like to bypass. Track automation isn't going to work here, neither is turning the effect down using it's interface, it's wet/dry setting is automated in the effect by an LFO, but I cannot for the life of me get MIDI automation to bypass the effect?

I've tried instantiating Speakerphone as a VST in order for DP to allow it as a MIDI destination, but even that doesn't seem allow a MIDI controller to bypass the effect in DPs FX window.

Any ideas?
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.
