Please try and reproduce this severe crash

Make a copy of your project file and make sure its marked test.
Make sure one MIDI or audio track is still in record.

Select SAVE and during save take record off the channel.
I did this while it was saving and it corrupted my entire project file.

I realize this is commonly never done and it invites problems but I did it accidentally.

I found the project song file became unusable and crashed when reopening.
I found I had to go back to the most recent auto save to continue. Lost a half hour of work.
When saving I think MOTU needs to disable record buttons it seems.

Please reproduce.

How large is the project file that you have time to click a record button while saving?

My project all save nearly instantly. I'm up to try and help reproduce this, but it seems maybe my system is too fast? (or yours too slow? )

edit: I just tried on a project with over 1000 soundbites and 250+ tracks... Either I can't click the record button fast enough, or I can't reproduce it.

Why would you want to do this? That's like saying "my car makes a funny noise when I turn it off, but before the engine stops I throw it into reverse and the car lurches backwards.

Again, why would you want to do this?

Are you running DP from a mechanical hard drive or an SSD?

I'm trying to figure out how DP could be running so slowly on your machine.

SSD Some times my saves run slowly with this latest version. Usually its instant.
Anyway I wont do that again. Also making duplicates of the session file after each day now out of fear.

Sessions can be restored from Time Machine also but that runs only once an hour. Losing work absolutely sucks.
