MX4 suddenly missing in DP 9.13
I upgraded to 9.13 a few weeks back, only to find out that it was buggy. So I "downgraded" to 9.12. Ever since that, I cannot find MX4 in my instrument plugins (I'm now using the improved 9.13)
I've gone into the preferences, where MX4 is shown and had it reexamined. Still nothing. Not sure what went wrong.

Did you reinstall ? I think it is in the MAS folder under Library/Audio

You might check for multiple mx4.patches.backup files. Once those were removed from my system MX4 started showing up as expected.

Re: MX4 suddenly missing in DP 9.13
I found 7 mx4.patches.backup files. I threw them in the trash and restarted. However, it still isn't loading into the program - doesn't show up in "instruments".reedster wrote:You might check for multiple mx4.patches.backup files. In DP Preferences it's there and checked. I've even had it "reexamined". Still nothing. I'm wondering if I should just do a complete reinstall...

Re: MX4 suddenly missing in DP 9.13
I get weirdness with DP plugins crashing the program. I remove them then do a complete reinstall of the program.

Re: MX4 suddenly missing in DP 9.13
Well, life is getting more interesting! MOTU told me to place the folder com.motu.MotuAudioSystem on the desktop and restart DP. Now the Examiner is hung up on MachFive3. So.... looks like another problem has cropped up.
So, if I do a complete re-install of DP, what do I need to trash????

Re: MX4 suddenly missing in DP 9.13
They did not recommend a reinstall ? Was MX4 in the MAS folder ? If it was, take it out and reinstall. Try that

Re: MX4 suddenly missing in DP 9.13
No reason to do that. Just reinstall—the plugs will be overwritten. This resets the paths as well.apanacci wrote:I get weirdness with DP plugins crashing the program. I remove them then do a complete reinstall of the program.
