Can't get audio when selecting.

Post by NealF »

I used to have it set that whenever I double clicked on an audio file in the sequence window and then selected a portion, I'd get the audio of that selection. For some reason it's no longer doing that.

I know there must be a setting somewhere but I can't find it.

Thanks.

When you double-click, does the soundbite change to a black-and-white look? If it doesn't change, make sure you're using the Pointer Tool. You can't Pop-Edit with the I-Beam Tool. That's all I can think of for now.

Yes. It goes black and white. Then I just drag/select a portion of it. Usually, it just plays that selected bit. Now, nothing.

Okay. I'm taking a wild guess here, but check and see if your main audio output is at the top of the list in the Bundles window. If not, drag it to the top of the list and see what happens.

Looks okay. Must be something else. I recall this happening many years ago. Don't know what the fix was.

Up in the transport window there is a button with a speaker icon on it. It's right next to the metronome button here. That toggles on Audible Mode.

Audible Mode! Totally slipped my mind. Good one, Stubbsonic.
