MIDI record timing funkiness on playback

Post by GaryR »

Hi All I have DP 9.12 MIDI Express XT & a Roland guitar interface . tracking while recording is pretty great but on playback the timing seems early & messed up ...anything to do with the pre render ??? & how can i have both 9.12 & 9.02 on the same machine for a test ....I was having trouble with the Audio Metronome but I am using a MIDI click from a Roland XV-5080 Thanks Gary

This is a known problem with DP 9.12 and external MIDI sound sources. Dp 9.02 does not have this issue. It has been reported to Motu, they say they are working on it, but nothing has changed for many months.
Mac Pro 2x2.4 quad core /24 gb ram/OS 10.13.6, Dp 10.13, MTP AV, /UAD 2, KOMPLETE 12, Stylus RMX, SD 3.0, EZ Drummer 3, A&H ZED R 16.

I hear many people run both versions. In Windows machines, you simply control the folder names so the one with the older version does not get overwritten. I believe it is even simpler on a Mac - just drag the versions into the Applications folder (though I imagine you would need to change the names somehow to reflect the version?)

Any Mac people here to chime in?
