Connecting MOTU 828 mk II firewire to Early 2015 Macbook Pro

Post by terencesharpe »

Hello,

As the title state I would like to use my MOTU 828 MK II Firewire unit with my early 2015 Macbook Pro.

Assuming this has to be done via Thunderbolt I would use this connector?

http://www.mediamarkt.de/de/product/_ap ... 99601.html

And with this I can just connect my previously used firewire cable that I used with my 2010 Macbook Pro, which was a Firewire 800 / Firewire 400 9 pin to 6 pin cable?

Please help, need audio in my life.

Yes, this works perfectly for me using a FW 400/800 cable connected to the 828 MkII.
