Slate VMR in DP 9.02/9.1

Is anyone successfully running Slate VMR in DP9, any version?

It constantly fails examination for me.

If it's working for you, can you please let me know what version of VMR that you are using?

The current version authorizes fine in 9.1 for me. There's a link to the prior version in my post at the bottom of this thread.

AU or VST perchance?

I downloaded AU for Mac. Here are the latest release notes.

Otherwise, that link I posted earlier gets you the previous version, download and uninstall instructions if you have 1.6.3.1 installed.

Yes. I was using v1.5.0.1 but just updated to v1.6.3.1, both run fine.

Not a fan of Slate, but VMR is working here in DP 9.1

Thanks guys! It's clearly an issue on my system.

If I can get it figured out I'll report back here... otherwise I gave up. (Just trying to run the slate freebies)

Did you read what I posted at the other link? If so, you read that they have acknowledged a problem for some users and promise an update soon.

Yes thank you, I did read that.

However if multiple users here are running it fine, then there is clearly some local issue here that I want to figure out.

VMR is authorized fine and it opens in other DAWs. If it's failing authorization for me in DP and working for others then I need to figure out what's up.

I have had new license authorization issues when the iLok License Manager is slightly out of date. You don't get an update msg and checking for updates returns a 'no updates' message. Rebooting my Mac and reopening the iLok LM shows an update available—run it and it works.

Weird but this has happened a few times including a few weeks ago.

Slate actually lists it as one of the known issues on their page..

As I'm having GUI issue with VMR AU on DP9.1/El Capitan, I've 'force loaded' VMR VST (in Audio Plug-In pref) and using it at the moment. It seems to be working OK so far, fingers crossed!

I just received info from support that fixed this for me:

Please try the following:

1) Mac: Run the VMR uninstall command in Applications/Slate Digital
Windows: Uninstall VMR using "Programs & Features" in Control Panel
2) Restart your computer
3) Run the VMR 1.6.4.1 installer here:

Mac: http://download.slatedigital.com/vmr/VMR_1641_Mac.zip
Windows: http://download.slatedigital.com/vmr/VMR_1641_Win.zip

4) Open your iLok License Manager
5) Right click on the iLok dongle and select Synchronize
6) Launch DAW

I was already running that version, and I had tried to synchronize my iLok previously, but it appears the order of operations + uninstall matters.

VMR now passes VST examination without issue.
