DP9.1 BFD2-3 incompatible with older projects sparaticlly

Post by Timeline »

I tried to open an 8 mix in 9 and the MIDI is there where its supposed to be but the drums are a quarter note behind. Re-opened in 8 and its fine?

ROLLED BACK TO 9.02 to solve as workaround.
Loved the sound of 9.1 though.

I'm using BFD3 everyday recording in realtime using roland edrums to trigger at 128 buffer. It works great. I have it set to highest velocity and I am using a big set with lots of cymbals.

Magic Dave said the lower the buffer the better but it chokes at 64. So I am mixing now at 562 and cutting at 128.

BFD 3 is working great here in DP 9.02 for me. Not so well in 9.1

Could you give us more information about your setup? Considering that there's a few folks using BFD without issue in DP 9, it would seem that there's something we need to track down on your system.

Have either of you tried to recall an 8 mix from DP8? Could be the BFD version I had on the old mixes was from BFD 2. Possibly I need to replace that into BFD3

I only have BFD 3, so I can't really check recall with BFD 2. Sorry.

I'm sure it works fine on new projects. I think this is likely a bad chunk issue. I'll try moving the old project into a new 9.1 project ...
