New Pitch Automation Not Loading in DP file

After editing pitch automation in numerous sound files, I successfully loaded the chunks into a new DP9 file.

But the new pitch automation did not follow. DP reverts back to the original pitch reading when the files were recorded.

I tried the clipping window to load these files and the same problem occurs.

I tried merging the soundbites before exporting and it still reverts back to the original pitch reading after the merge. Weird...

This happens in DP8 as well.

The only thing that works is when I bounce or record the sound file with the new pitch automation. Then it reads the new pitch automation accurately.

This process is time consuming. If someone has a better way or if I'm doing something wrong, please help.

If you haven't posted a Tech Link with support, do so for a response from MOTU.

His Magicness does show up now and then and we are always glad when he does but it is never a given that he will.

I haven't tested this just now to make sure, but I seem to remember that loaded chunks had the pitch automation turned off on audio tracks. Try checking that pitch automation is switched on for the imported tracks and even try toggling it on/off. This is accomplished by the VERY small "p" in the sequence window.

But after further tests, I believe it's a buggy DP file.

I'm going to attempt to rebuild the project in a new file and hopefully correct this issue.
