Either 9.02 or latest audio-midi drivers BREAK VE Pro Sync

Post by toodamnhip »

I updated to the latest motu audio and MIDI drivers today, (V 1.6 68717) ,and VE Pro no longer syncs with DP when VE 's buffers are set above "none”.

Can anyone confirm this?

The system was working perfectly before the install so it has to be the new drivers. I then re installed the OLD drivers and VE Pro is still not working right with buffers above “none” bing out of sync.

Hey 2DH, are you running VEP on the same machine as DP?
DP11, 2019 16-Core Mac Pro, Monterey, 64GB RAM. RME HDSPe MADI FX to SSL Alphalink to SSL Matrix console, and multiple digital sub consoles. UAD Quad PCIe. Outboard stuff.

Yes.
I am now uncertain whether or not it was the new driver updates or if it was the 9.02 update itself. Either way, Ve pro is now broken and wasn't before

Maybe you could reinstall VEP. They have a new version that came out just a few days ago.. might fix it?

I have the newest 9.02 DP, and the newest version of VEP appears to be working fine.. sorry, I'm not willing to install the new MOTU drivers to find out if that's what it is..

The issue occurred in both versions of VE Pro, the newest and the one before.

Guess that leaves the drivers for you then. Does the driver have an uninstall? It may be that the only way to install the old drivers is to wipe out ALL the driver software, then start clean.

I don’t know if there is an un install.
I have posted at Vienna and will put up a tech link at MOTU.
Last tech link was never responded to.
