DP8 crashes when making new project from template

I have this weird issue where DP8 crashes whenever I try making a new project from a template. The only way I seem to be able to resolve it (temporarily, though, it only works once) is if I re-save the template and then open it again.

Anyone have a solution? Thanks!

i suspect it could be a third party plugin - try making a new template roughly the same and trashing the one that errors. My thoughts : )

It seems that when I make a new project after having another project open, it's fine. The problem only occurs when I'm making a new project right after opening DP.

Also, I've disabled plugins and still get the problem.

This has worked for many with similar issues. There have been many threads over the years.
