DP9 - Cant select MIDI Track Output

Post by wonder »

In DP9, when I add a MIDI track or have an existing MIDI track, I'm unable to select its output.
I'll click on the output region and nothing will happen.

I have to Quit DP and reopen the session.

Its happening about 80% of the time.

Anyone else see this issue?

Had a similar issue selecting MIDI device group. You might want to make sure the instrument you want to select is listed at the very top of the instruments list in bundles window.

I found a fix for this---highlite the track and hit Option A.
You’ll get a dialogue box and it will work even if clicking on a track output directly does not work. Once you use this command once, the MIDI track outputs will work again by direct click. It is a bug but this workaround is pretty easy.

Great. I'll try this.

It's been a pain having to restart DP

This happens to me when I have a MIDI keyboard in my bundles, but the keyboard it turned off. Turning it on makes the output assignable again. :?

This happened once to me as well. Quit DP and restarted, seemed to fix it at the time, but it was a bit bewildering at first.
