Weird Error Message - Mildly Urgent

Post by Movies »

I'm using DP 8.07 with one instance each of Kontakt and Battery (both part of the Komplete 10 Ultimate bundle) on 10.9.5 and I keep receiving this error message:

Image

I've looked on this board and the web at large and I haven't found anything specific about it.

Generally, it'll pop up when I try to save my project and I'm unable to save. When I apple+q out of DP and then re-open the file, all of the instruments are gone from Kontakt.

Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? I'm in the middle of a work project that's due in a couple of days and I'm getting a little spooked.

Thanks!

There are many threads on this error. The normal solutions are

a) reinstall DP, repair permissions and reboot (do this one first)

b) reinstall the offending plugin or library. repair permissions and reboot

Thanks, Mike! I definitely did not see that thread, but, also, I was searching the specific error number along with getClassInfo, so the problem probably comes down to my searching ability!

Do you know if this is something that is sometimes repaired by only reinstalling DP?

If so, I'll give it a shot -- I don't have time to reinstall Komplete; I think I'd probably just have to find other plug-ins to substitute.

This has a history of working more often than not but there are no guarantees. Fortunately, it's quick and easy. Do not uninstall anything or trash preferences first

I'm sorry. I thought you wrote "do this one first" in an order-of-operations way. I didn't realize that you were saying to try it and see if it helps before dealing with Komplete.

So, don't trash any Komplete components before reinstalling?

I don't have Komplete.

I don't know how else to put it.

a) reinstall DP, repair permissions and reboot (do this one first).

b) see if you still have a problem?

Right, I just did the DP part. Still there.

I'm currently reinstalling Komplete, at which point I'll, again, repair permissions, reboot, and assess.

I've also sent an email about it to Native Instruments.

I appreciate the help!
