They're all in a clipping window, and they are treated like track templates.

So rather than having to rely on a big master template with a bunch of unnecessary tracks, I can build my project as I go along, but in large chunks. This also includes i/o settings, plug-in settings, automation settings, folders, associated sends etc...
This is pretty much the way I do it, too. Great minds think alike.

Not to worry. Someone will find another non-issue to take up space.

When you're composing a post or editing a current one, hover your cursor of the "YouTube" tag button just above the text editing box. It will display the syntax for it:

Forgive my ignorance, James. Where do you find those three parameters? They don't seem to be in the YouTube URL.

The ID is the gibberish in the URL. Google Youtube ID for specifics. For size, put in whatever works.

OK,

I tried this and all of my MIDI tracks in my mix window are still automated and green. Am I missing something????

I completely agree with Shooshie on this. I rely heavily every day on the automation play button indicating whether I have automated a track or not. The first time I fired up DP 9 I just couldn't believe they would make a change like that. It made no sense to me.

It is another thing like having the Aux Sends defaulted to unity instead of "off". Makes no sense. I don't want my entire mixers' automation pre-enabled and I don't want all my aux sends wide open be default. Please Motu, make these preferences. I wasted enough time every day turning down all my aux sends, now I waste even more turning off automation buttons.

Or, like others have said, make it an option to save default track setups so when we create a new track, it can pop up exactly how we want it.

It is easy to see where programming has diverged from real world needs and wants. These "features" were programming "disconnects"most likely left over from original programmers disconnected with the realities of production. All programs probably have Miss – designs such as. These are obviously illogical, the question is does MOTU have to time to fix annoying little errors such as these when there are big bugs in 9.?
