Minor issue please advise

DP owner serial # used to be printed on the manual but in 8 I don't see it in the book on mine. Trying to help Xavier Calvera, (a motunation member) who also bought 8 and is trying to load DP in his new laptop. I just forgot is all and could not help him. Should I have him call MOTU Monday? Thanks. GB

I recall that they sent it to me in an email, but you should also find it on the website under My Account>My Registrations.

I took a marker and wrote mine in large characters on the outside of the box. Nuts to hunting for the serial#.

Remember that, when activating your copy, the spelling of name and email address must match what is on file at MOTU. This has tripped up a few of us in the past. Oh, you must use dashes, not minus signs from the numeric key pad in the serial number (really? still?).

Mmm. My DP8 serial number is on a sticker on the inside-back cover of the user guide.

That's the key-code. That changes from version to version. The serial number was given you the first time you bought DP, and it never changes as long as you own it. I own two copies of DP, so I have two serial numbers that I update alternately.

The best place to find your serial number, if you don't have it written down somewhere, is at MOTU's site. You have to be a member, of course, to log in. But it will have a record of all your MOTU purchases, their serial numbers, etc.
