Why add the word "Project" to everything?

Post by AudioSoundzz »

Does anyone else find it annoying and useless the DP adds the word "Project" to the end of each song created? I find this completely useless and just takes up space and looks terrible. For me the word "project" sounds unprofessional and makes it look like this is a hobby - not my business. If I have a reason to put a word into a name for data base searches I will put it at the beginning not at the end. But having said that I use folders to organize everything on my computer and don't want a program trying to force me into doing things illogically. I hope the "feature" is removed or becomes optional.

Wow.
Can't you simply solve this "big issue" by pressing return on the folder or project name and delete the monstrous word project?

I don't see how this is an issue, unless you write 100+ songs a day. Even then, with the new Finder feature, or with a simple Automator routine, you can change Finder names easily...

So the answer to your question is NO. I do not find it annoying. I hadn't even thought of that, actually, since I name my projects using custom names from my Applescript app that, among other things, does exactly this.

Search his other posts. All equally and purposefully inept questions from someone who obviously knows more than they're saying but less than they know. Man, I miss finding pirates, but I suppose trolls are ok. No enough meat on the bones. OK for a snack, I suppose.

Blocked.

I like it that DP names a newly created project file with the word "project". It reminds
me to rename the file with a DATE so I don't lose track of it.

You must have inadvertently infected my computer via this forum because I've been seeing that file type on my system a lot, lately.
