The 32 bit plugins will not be available in DP 8 when it is run in 64 bit mode. For possible solutions, look at the many threads on this forum that refer to jBridgeM or 32 Lives.

32 Lives is the way to go, IMO. I have J-bridge but it only works with VST plugs, and I found
it kind of klugey.

You can get 32 Lives here:

The exceptions are the few DP 7 plugs that will not open in DP 8 (32 or 64). The functionality is still there; it's the DP plugin has changed. The DP 8 manual details this.

With these DP 7 plugs, DP will have an error pop-up to let you know. Non-functioning third party plugins will not trigger a pop-up.

I'll second that. I used jBridgeM early on, but seems the developer has been devoting his efforts primarily to the Windows version for a while now.

Sound like a potential headache. Is it possible to open old presets in newer 64bit same plug in for example old preset delay into the new one?

If you saved your plug-ins settings as user presets, then yes they will appear
after you "64-bit-ize" the plug-in using 32 Lives. User presets are just data pointers, they are
not 64-bit or 32-bit.

If you saved your presets within the old plug-ins GUI…I'm not sure if they come up. I never save presets to a plug-ins GUI. But at worst, you'd just have to make some new settings..
doesn't take that long.

Sound like you are telling me that the new delay plug in in DP8 when run at 64bit can actually load my preset from DP7. I like that.

If you're talking about a MOTU plug, I don't see why it wouldn't open with the correct preset.

Izotope, for example.

Correct. The exceptions would be plugs such as DP 7's Phase Inverse that are now named differently or part of Trim in DP 8.
