Imported Movie Audio loses sync after conductor track change

Post by emjayinla »

Greetings,

I'm working on a film broken into reels, I know, how quaint. Anyway, I create a chunk for each reel. The burn in time code for each reel reads each hour correctly however DP reads each reel as starting at hour 0:00:00:00. No problem - I set the Start Movie time to the correct hour and then I set the Chunk start time to the correct hour and all is well.

I import the movie audio to a track and lock that track. Everything good.

I noticed if I make a tempo change in the chunck the movie track audio seems to drift out of sync. If I select it and use "move to original timestamp" it disappears. Same thing when I select "move to user timestamp". what I've had to do to delete the track and re-import from the movie. Not horrible but tedious.

Any suggestions?

Cheers.

Does locking the track help? What is the soundbite's timestamp location?
