Tool selection command flakiness
I've got a command for selecting point, i-beam, pencil tools.
Am I the only one to experience flakiness with that?
Like I have to press the key 3-4 time.
I tried with different keys same thing.

Re: Tool selection command flakiness
Are you using the DP Commands window? The tools are already setup there, so if you're duplicating that, it could be confusing the app. Tap and hold the assigned key for the tool on a temporary basis and double tap to make the tool sticky.
p for pencil, i for ibeam, etc. Works just fine for me and I know it is also working fine for a few others who have mentioned this. Shooshie is well versed in this stuff (as in all things DP & MOTU & music & performance/production).

Re: Tool selection command flakiness

Re: Tool selection command flakiness
Maybe try the defaults again?
Re: Tool selection command flakiness
are you tapping the key twice, versus holding it to temporarily change to the selected tool?

Another flakiness
In Preferences and Settings
Editing / Continuous Data
I set bottom Continuous Data Icons
to 11 Expression
I save my template. I re-open it's there. I open an existing file. It's not there. I re-open my template it's not there.
Hmmm, maybe it's time to trash my preferences

Re: Tool selection command flakiness
Yeah, what Bayswater said.
Holding the key down switches to the tool temporarily.
Tapping it twice selects the tool until you select another.
If that isn't the problem, I really don't know.
