REC Enable button going crazy

Post by ronsaltmarsh »

Has any one ever had this problem? The rec enable button doesn't want to stay in the selected track. It will find a home on a track and no matter where you click it jumps back to that track. Or double click some where it finds a new home, but then click some where again it jumps. This has been happening a lot lately. Yes I have trashed prefs and reinstalled the entire program. This is a new one for me. Any ideas?

What happens if you delete the track and recreate it? Is that in all projects or just that one template?

It will happen intermittently but in any configuration, and project.

I'd wager that you have a stuck key or key combo. Perhaps an arrow key?

Is it possible that you have Sticky Keys turned on in the System Preferences/Accessibility/Keyboard (or in the keyboard commands under the Keyboard preferences)? Sometimes that can cause very strange behaviors. But it doesn't sound like the problem, really.

I have seen this before, I think, but it was a long time ago. It seems like it was my error at the time. I cannot remember what or why it happened, and I apologize. I'm just thinking that you may have to search deeper. I don't know.
