Hi
I'm using DP8.05 on a 12 core with a big template and 4 PC slaves running VSL EP and lots of MIDI event inputs. Im getting a lot of weird MIDI issues - hanging notes, missing notes etc. When I open the same sequence in 7.24 problem goes away. MIDI chasing and plugin pre gen are both off. Is there a MIDI problem with this release do we think?

Re: 8.05 MIDI problem
Are you using VE Pro to connect the computers together? I don't use the "Event Inputs" plugin in VE Pro, too flakey. When I hit the 16 channel limit, I just create another instance..

Re: 8.05 MIDI problem
I hear what you're saying but the template is too big for that - I'm using 68 event input plugins, 700 MIDI tracks, 4 slaves each with one or two VSL EP's running. I know it's a lot but it runs just fine in 7.24 on a 12 core Mac (10.8.5) and I only get MIDI problems in 8.05. In previous versions of 8, the MIDI was fine but the Movie used so much CPU the whole thing was unworkable.

Re: 8.05 MIDI problem
it's confirmed that there are MIDI issues with VEP Event inputs on 8.05. Happened to me to and I had to roll back to 8.04. They are fixing it for the 8.06 release!
if you have to, or can, disabling Automatic Delay Compensation fixes the problem. But that causes chaos if you're doing anything with lots of plugins or very fast staccato stuff, etc.

Re: 8.05 MIDI problem
Was this issue ever supporesolved in 8.07? I'm on 8.07. I tried my system the other day which has Event input plugins connecting to VE Pro instances which then link to 2 Mac mini slaves over ethernet. I'm still getting MIDI Stuck notes or dropped notes. Did MOTU claim that this issue was ever fixed?
