Open Sound Control Driver disappeared after DP8 install

I have been o 7.24 for a while and using my iphone app to control playback while i'm tracking.

I just installed DP8 and now in 7.24 the Control Surface setup doesn't offer me the OPEN SOUND CONTROL DRIVER option to select to be able to couple my phone to my DP.

It's available in DP8 but not in 7.24 anymore

Any ideas?

I am having this issue right now in DP8. The "open sound control" option has disappeared in the Control Surface menu.

This means I can't use DP Control app! I'm bummed.

I just can't understand why MOTU would give DP users a useful app like DP Control and then abandon it (Yes, I understand that it still kind of works for some people, but that's the exception now).

I know they're not, but I can't help but feel like they're going, "Ha ha, suckers!" and it really pisses me off. It's the reverse of piracy.

If I open the Control Surface Setup menu in either DP 8 installation, OSC appears along with HUI Mackie, EuCon, and Radikal. I only use the Mackie and HUI, so I can't verify the OSC driver actually works, but maybe something has to be reinstalled?
