What driver is not working? The ones for MOTU interfaces? FireWire or PCI? Have you tried DP? Is it working?

You're asking for it! MOTU has been fairly silent on the issue of Lion. Personally, I'd wait for them to say something. Of course, if you have time to waste that a whole other consideration...

fingers x'd it plays nice with lion

some exciting stuff there ie auto save!!!! cos the one thing that DP really needs is the never losing anything cos its crashed - a solution lion perhaps promises to address..

come on be honest it HAS happened to all of you!

and dont mention any BS about DP has auto sve now - cos thats err BS!!! you can work for hours and it doesnt save - just depends if u happen to be in playback when the autosave hits..

oh yeah and its not like it tells you it autosaves.. hello a beachball? is that the best they can do?

ooh has it crashed? ( again :D ) or is it autosaving?

well done ( thats british sarcasm for you! )

I'm interested in hearing from those that are currently testing DP7/Lion OS. Apple throws allot'a changes at MOTU on these upgrades and knowing what does or doesn't work will tell us where they have allegedly made improvements, not that they are all improvements. Looks like "full screen" may give them pause.

Personally, I really don't understand what the big rush (among some users) to adopt Lion is :?

It will bring some nice features, for sure, but do we really need them from day one?
I really think most busy studios and busy composers will wait and see what happens... I doubt they'll rush and instal Lion on their DAW machines too soon . What for? A reliable and solid system is much more important, at least in my book.

I may get Lion when it comes out and play with it from a test HD exclusively. But I won't instal it in my DAW until I know it's perfectly safe, and if I'm convinced the new features warrant it.

I've got a bunch of apps I still use under Rosetta. My understanding is Lion will no longer support Rosetta. Am I correct on this? If so, it will be some time before I take the plunge.

Even if DP might run on Lion, what about all the other apps and plugins that took me 4 days to install on my new Mac Pro last week?

Jumping to Lion would force me to do this all over again and for sure put me into severe compatibility issues and also force me to abandon several plugins not suported anymore..

I use to be a late adopter of a new OSX (read: VERY late) just for the safe ride. Can´t afford an unstable system in the studio bizz.
The Lions will have to wait for me.

Better safe than sorry.

Lion is six months to a year out for me, unless MOTU offers some killer stuff in an update of DP that can only be utilized in Lion. If that turns out to be the case, then I'll probably find it too hard to resist.

I remind everyone that it was nearly two years before any MIDI or audio application was available for OSX. Sometimes it takes a little longer. Obviously, Apple's developers for Logic have had the inside track all along. They'll probably be the first to be compatible.

You had almost no posts here, but for THIS you decided to come here? A regular Paul Revere. One if by land, and two if by 64 bit. Somehow the denial is a little disingenuous. "Gman's" other two posts were about DP's incompatibility with a Waves plugin. He had the courtesy to stop by and tell us it works well in Logic. Sure glad he's got our back. Thanks for taking care of us, Gman.

I freely admit I went to SL not too long ago. (4 months...maybe a little more? Gettin' old is all I know...) Never in a rush for that OS update direction, for sure.
