Ampeg SVX broken?

Post by hrw »

i use ik multimedia's Ampeg SVX a lot and i've found on a track it's all of a suuden stopped giving sound. You can see the input signal going into it but not the output coming out...?
When i bypass this plug-in there is sound again. I've checked all the settings... i haven't changed anything. Anyone else had this issue??
Is it just me?

i probably shouldn't say broken because it then strangely works but it is hit and miss. I would love to know if anyone else has ever had this with Ampeg SVX??

This sounds a little unusual.... but:

There was an issue a while back in which putting a mono-to-stereo IK plugin was a problem unless there were first some other mono-to-stereo insert ahead of it (like, Trim-- even if no settings were in use). After that point, an IK stereo insert could be used. I wonder if it's the same issue taking on a different guise?

Just curious-- are you running the plug in real-time? Pre-render mode still feels touch-n-go in some cases.

I have stopped using Ampeg SVX for this same reason.
It works for a while and then it stops passing audio.
Or... upon opening a project, there is no bass track audio.
Nice sounding plug, but very spotty in my rig.
I emailed their tech support and they said there was no problem.
This is the only plug in my setup that exhibits this behavior.
All is well

If IK is missing the point, then it's really unfortunate for such a great plugin.
