VI Track Name resets itself
Hi guys.
Since going to DP 7 my Kontakt VI tracks will reset their name from whatever I name it back to the default "Kontakt 3-1" or whatever it is. I'll rename it again, then it goes back to the default by itself. Happens almost every time I reboot DP. Is this a preference I am missing somewhere?
Thanks as always.
Chris

I'm surprised you haven't gotten a bite by now.
Other than a lot of garlic or a silver bullet, I got nothin'.
Trash DP prefs?
VI Track *renaming itself*? Wow. Have you been in touch with Linda Blair or Stephen King recently? (j/k)

In Plogue Bidule, the earlier version would do this and it was fixed. You don't mention p/b so I'm guessing you are not using it, but if you are - update to the latest version. If you're not: what Frodo said.

Re: VI Track Name resets itself
I get similar behaviour, I suspect it's all tied in with recent posts about bundles not keeping their names and getting all messed up, and also a post I made about moving a VI from the tracks window to a V-rack and the VI getting renamed in this case as well.
I have emailed tech support about it, well over 2 months ago, before 7.21 came out which hasn't fixed this, to no response.

Re: VI Track Name resets itself
Makes me think--- when I save SMFs in DP and prompt it to save MIDI track names, it gives me Track 1, Track 2, Track 3... when I import those SMFs elsewhere. I wonder if there not a connection here.

Yes, I am baffled. How and why a track would just **poof** go back to its default is a magical mystery indeed. And mildly irksome.

Happened today with four different VI's. Kontakt, Sampletank, Omnisphere, and Bidule. All changed back to their respective default names, a total of about ten tracks.
