DP6 bundled plugins strange gate like issue

Hi i recently bought DP6 and am having a rather frustrating issue with it. It appears the bundled plugins bassline, polysynth etc have this issue where it cuts the end of the note off. like there is a gate on it but to my knowledge there are no effects on it it's a dry signal. even more confusing is when i add say an AU reverb effect the tail of the reverb is gated and cuts off the same time as the note ends abruptly which is a rather annoying issue. is there something misconfigured here? im sure there is a really simple answer i have overlooked? (or at least i hope...) another thing is that external instrument plugins do not suffer this issue and the reverbs do not cut short even if the note does.
