My wish list for upcoming versions of DP currently looks like this:

- Higher CPU/RAM efficiency (Mac OS X)
- possibility to bounce multiple tracks separately with one command/click
- Freeze/Bounce in Place (dare I say, a little more like Logic Pro...)
- Markers: multiple lanes (when overlapping), markers that can extend over multiple bars, custom Marker colors
- equivalents of VST Expression Maps & Note Expression
- VST3 support
- Velocity bars could be easier to grasp
- possibilities for more extensive visual feedback (CC position at the spot, note names in MIDI notes)
- possibility to also view the Movie Track in the Track Window
- extra license so one can legitimately run DP on your laptop

All the best,

Dennis

You can run DP on two computers now. I have it on a desktop and a laptop.

I can't think of a better way to import session data than the Chunks window.
What is it about it that you consider "a mess", exactly?
What you don't you like, or what would you like to see instead?

What I don't like is that apparently MOTU took out the Link/Data buttons in that window in DP8. I have no idea why.

Yeah. I'm sure that'll help...

If you really want to be heard, I suggest you drop them a note in their suggestion box, or email them or call them.

This site is not an official MOTU site. But as FM asked: what about the load feature is not working? It seems to work fine for everyone else

One thing I don't like is the thing you don't like (Link/DATA). Protools, which is my second go to DAW, DP being my first makes the process so much easier to manipulate and understand. Almost drawing a picture for you. I Dropped these suggestions in MOTU suggestions box and emailed and phoned them for years!! Watch out for that practice of ASSumption. :D

Linking can be problematic if you mistakenly delete the folder you're linking to. If you SAVE AS to the same folder as the original project you can share the original project folder without duplicating it. That's a much safer option.

Not all users are as careful as others and if MOTU wants to be sure assets of projects are protected, I think that's a good thing. I suppose you could make an alias of the original project files and save to them to a new folder (or alias the folder itself) and SAVE AS to that alias folder if you don't want to duplicate the data. Otherwise I don't see a solution to your "problem."
