Kubi is part of the MotuNation, as are You and all the other great DP Rock Stars on this forum.
Praise and recognize the ones who help you out. This time it was Kubi
But hey, Phil, I have another one for ya here http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... =1&t=53070
You migh be the lucky one this time

Happens also with crossfades. I´m very aware of zero crossings when doing X fades.
Thing is, the fades sound great at first. Then some minutes later when listening back after some time, the clicks and pops appear.
Not always, but very often.
This time while editing a 30 + audio track project.
Just a thought select a new mix (ie removing all plugins and see if it still happens) just to rule out excessive processing
Probably not but best to rule out
Cheers

stephentayler wrote:If we are talking about crossfades, there is one shortcoming in DP that is more efficient in ProTools. PT will not allow a crossfade to go beyond the bounds of the soundbite, alerts you and will adjust the range accordingly. DP will allow you to create a crossfade even if there is no audio present, and it does not alert you, so clicks at soundbite extremes may be exposed.
I'm pretty sure this isn't the issue here, but it is worthy of note when creating crossfades.
Cheers!!

Hey Steven, Thanks for the heads up. Never would have suspected that DP wouldnt flag that! That needs addressed for sure.
Actually it does with crossfades. If there is sufficient audio in each soundbite beyond the crossfade point the crossfade is red. If not the crossfade is blue.

CORRECTION: If the crossfade is good, ie there is sufficient audio either side of the edit, then the fade colour is the same as that of the track (NOT RED)
If there is not sufficient audio then the fade is Blue
Cheers

Ha! Buzzy, you've outed your age. Or the fortunate lack of it, in this case.

It's that old? I guess I'm just a medium-geezer then. Or perhaps a winter chicken or middle-fogey?

It's just what kids say to their siblings. You know, the whole sibling rivalry thing. No TV reference intended. Kinda like when I tell Monkey Man to be more like his cousin, Guido. (The Italian mother thing.)
