Looks like I have found a error in the programing. Was able to get the hour+ wav file to tech support and they came up with same results.

reply: " have reproduced your issue and at this point, have not found a fix. It looks as if this needs to be brought to our development team for further investigation. I will keep you posted on any news, but I would not expect an immediate solution."

What a way to make a person insane thinking it was something I was doing wrong

Good job on documenting and getting that to tech support's attention. You've done us all a service.

I wonder if this adding of time is also related to the same reason (similar code) when I bounce a selection of measures to disk with a QT video as the output...it also adds time to the end of the file with blank/black frames at the end. (Yes...I reported it). Hmmmmmm........

I tried a full project freeze (all audio files) which makes every file the exact same length unless I am misunderstanding something.
But the point is I tried a full project scale time with these frozen tracks and the results were all over the place as far as length after processing

Yeah, that's a bad bug.

Meanwhile, Melodyne can be your friend in situations like this. That's
what I use to time-scale audio anyway.

Is the Melodyne quality, the results, worth $400.00. It looks like maybe the editor could do what I need

IMO, Melodyne is indeed worth every penny, and then some. I'd pay $499 for it.
For me it is not an option, it is a necessity. There are numerous projects
I have done which could not have been realized without Melodyne.
