Thanks Baywater, it was a permissions problem. I set read-write for all the users and it's fine now.

Now if I could just get it to stop asking me for my password every time I want to put something in the trash. Probably another permission problem somewhere else.

Thanks for the reply. I think there is some kind of pilot error here because I have 4 internal hard drives and only one is not allowing me to make any copies of anything. I will have to do some more digging.

I just switched to mountain lion 8.0.4. I tried to make a duplicate of a DP document with my old shortcut. I googled and figured out how to put "Duplicate' and "Save As..." in my keyboard shortcuts in system preferences. But they don't work. Can someone give me the obvious answer here...

First of all Waves doesn't guarantee that Waves 9 will work with DP 7.24. But it is supposed to be fine with DP8. Here's what the tech suggested I do for the problem: 1. Create an empty text file named "no_context_sharing.txt" and place it in: System HD /Library/Application Support /Waves....

Well, I am at OS 10.6.8 ands I am at D.P. 7.24. I was at 8.02 but decided I liked 7.24 better.
But I was have the same crash issues with 8.02 also.

Repaired permissions. Like you said maybe update drivers and such might help.

MOTU contacted me a week ago after receiving over 100 crash logs from me over the past 4 weeks while working on my last project. We're now working together to figure out the source of the issue. Never even considered doing that. I'm glad to know that someone at DP is actually fielding the crash log...
