Your right about both! Problem is, I have read in these posts that WIN XP has same problem, No MOTU ASIO. I have come to believe that what has been said about the RICOH Firewire chipsets is true, and I have recently confirmed it. I have VISTA on an HP dv9500T laptop, which i just bought by the way, ...

I am no technician, but have gained a massive amount of knowledge in the past three days on this from reading posts. Here is what I think. I just bought a SIIG ExpressCard Firewire that has 9 and 6 pin on it because it supports 1394a which Firewire 400 (6 pin connector) and 1394b which is Firewire 8...

Same boat here. Let me guess!! You are running VISTA right. Please see the massive posts on VISTA and Firewire and Ultralite. I would also almost guess you have an HP laptop with RICOH firewire chipset in it but I shouldn't guess that far. THat is where I am. Reinstalled last night with a SIIG Epres...

I di some poking around last night and found a few thins of possible interest. First, I took a llok at a Microsoft article on FIrewire Enumeration in WIN VISTA. When I looked in the registry entries directed to, I noticed that three devices, 1394 Host Controller, Integrated Web Cam, Infared device a...

Same Troubles
mikal4711 - What firmware and driver version are you using? I just purchased an HP pavillion zd9500T which is essentially the same computer with same OS. I bought the Ultralite because my Kore Controller (less than 6 ms latency) could not be recognized under Ultimate 64 even with driver update. I ca...

Yep, I can relate
Lelo - Same problem. Had 2 MTPAV Par. linked and never ran correctly. Finally bit the bullet and bought 1 MTPAV USB and networked it to the other Par. one. THe first USB driver that MOTU had a year or two ago did not work either. To my surpsire, the only thing I have working consistently in VISTA 64...

Same Problem
I have the exact problem and I am contemplating going back to XP pro from VISTA 64. I have one additional problem, the MDI IN works fine but the MIDI OUT port does not work. I confirmed this by unplugging my HUI from the Ultralite an pluggin it into my MTPAV USB and it lit up like a christmas tree.

VISTA - HP Pavillion
Joshuakira - I just spent a week configuring my new HP ZD9500T only to be in the very same boat you are. I almost cried when Brad stated that HP latops are the worst. Bummer. I just spent $2,500 on this thing to get VISTA 64, 4 GIG Ram, 1.0 GIG Nividia 8600M Video, and two 100 Gig 7200 Hard drives. ...

Ultralite Vista 64
Well, I guess I should have read this post before I spent $2,500 on new VISTA 64 Laptop, and another $500 on the Ultralite when my Kore Controller would not work. I have same problem with one twist. I cannot get the unit to work at all, an the MIDI outport won't function either. I get the same deal,...
