Did you try another Key command? T is used by DP for temporary grouping and using it for another command might be the problem. It’s worth a try.

Re: Use chunks to compare mixes of different songs?
There are 3 types of Chunks in DP: Sequence Chunks, Song Chunks and v-rack chunks. All reside in the Chunks window. It took me a while to fully understand DP Chunks and that the name Chunks is not the same as Sequence. I use Sequence Chunks all the time for comparing versions of film cues, etc. I al...

Re: Dust, dust, dust... It's driving me crazy!
What everyone else has said, plus two other things: cats and masking tape. Not that you use them together. Quite the contrary. You see, cats are natural dust mops. A cat will get in every crevice of your studio, behind computers, in between cables, and so forth. It's just the cat's way of having fu...

Re: Channels 1-2 no audio no VI output
It would seem that there's definitely a bug when using an audio source file other than what's on DP. My frustration was with the fact that all 30 of my other two 24io console channels were working flawlessly as always. Took me two days to figure it out and only because I just happened to boot up an...

Re: Can't hear all of Kontakt's instruments
Kontakt (I use AU plug) publishes its outputs and, after adding an instrument track in DP with KT, they show up in DPs Bundles window where you can then buss them to DP’s Aux tracks. In KT, assign each KT instrument to one of the plug-in’s available outputs. When bouncing add both the MIDI track and...

Re: Import Other DAW Key Bindings_Commands
When I moved from Studio Vision to DP I changed a lot of DP commands to match SVP’s. It made the transition so much smoother. I’m still using some I’m sure but after all this time I’m not sure which.

I got 2 Stereo audio trracks in a sequence/chunk (and c’mon guys, choose a terminology here: Sequence, Chunk, whatizzit?. Check out the manual chapter on Chunks. There are 3 types of Chunks: Sequence Chunk, V-Rack Chunk and Song Chunk. The nomenclature has been the same for as long as I remember. I...

Re: Cakewalk/SONAR lives?
For the last time, Gibson DID NOT "kill" Studio Vision. Opcode was a train wreck teetering over the edge of the Trestle To Hell when Gibson (only recently saved from extinction itself but Henry J. and his merry band of bankers) bought it and infused it with a huge shot of cash they though...

Re: Dust, dust, dust... It's driving me crazy!
After 40 years of doing this I keep it simple: no dogs, cats or maids (except floors & trash) or other pets (lost mini turtles and young children come to mind); vacuum with a soft round brush, 1.5” good quality soft bristle painter’s brush and, if needed, a slightly damp cloth or paper towel. Se...

Re: How to show velocity at notes like this Video
Try the "zoom to selection" command. Also the "zoom back" (and zoom forward) command which steps you back through previous zoom levels. Also, there are 3 zoom levels you can set and assign to key combinations. I edit MIDI mostly in the Sequence editor. Not sure if these commands ...

Re: Trash can?
Thanks HC. Yeah, I'm getting the 6 core model upgraded to 8 core and 500GB drive. It's the way you order it if you don't want the bigger graphics card. Why they don't just let you order the 8 core with downgraded graphics I don't know. I have the 12 core (I run VIs) with the dual 500 graphics cards...

Re: Trash can?
I also use all docks for SSD drives on my 6,1 both TB and USB3. TB docks here are faster than USB3, but fastest is the internal SSD. I also use 2 4K monitors. I found I had to pay close attention to the 6,1 busses and how peripherals are connected to not "overload" them and reduce performa...

I’ve done some ssd speed tests on our MacPro 6,1 Trashcan internal 1TB factory v external 1 TB 6g OWC in an OWC TB dock using Blackmagic. The internal drive is always faster but the external SSDs are certainly fast enough for sample streaming and audio Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Even bi...

Re: Trash can?
I bought a tc refurb with AppleCare, 1tb ssd, midrange vídeo card as replacement for my 3,1. I have external SSDs for samples which I salvaged from the 3,1 using docks. It’s been a great system with DP and Sierra.
