FWIW, I lived in Denver for the entire 90's. My GF, OTOH, she just likes Peyton Manning. She watched the Colts until he ended up in Denver. Then our interests aligned and we started watching football together. :D

Re: How to mono freezing?

The problem with freezing it creates new track accordingly to frozen track output I don't use "bounce" or "freeze" when I want to render a track. I generally just create a new audio track of the right type, set the input to some unused bus. Route the output of the track(s) I wan...

Re: Whats your workflow for sketching ideas?

Call me old school but I generally work with just an acoustic guitar, an unplugged telecaster, or a piano keyboard of some type and a pad of paper and pen. Until I get the lyrics, chord structure and melody roughed out. Then I will fire up DP and record a guide run through of vocal/instrument. Then ...

Re: Superbowl

What truly bothered me was the unseemly fisticuffs near the end. Yeah, it was almost like a pro hockey game for a minute there. As a hardcore Broncos fan, my favorite part of the game was the montage of Seahawks player's faces right after the final interception. The crushed hopes. The disbel...

Re: The future of CoreAudio and AudioUnits - a real concern

I don't see it getting dropped or anything. Work continues on it. Of course most of the recent work has been either 1) porting it to ios so ipads can be DAWs and games can use plugins for their audio and 2) making more of the api Objective C friendly (its written in C and C++ for performance reasons...

Re: 88 key controllers

I use a second (Motif ES6) keyboard to allow bloodless organ smears. I picked up a Hammond KX3c of ebay because I wanted drawbars and the impending death of B4 II had me casting about for a replacement. Turns out that the waterfall keys on the thing are also letting me get some sounds I wasn't gett...

Re: 88 key controllers

I get really depressed every time I pop my head up looking for an 88key controller to replace my QS8. I'm always shocked by how few options there are. I hear you. My QS88 is still the best feeling set of keys I've ever owned and still has center stage in my studio as main keyboard for playing on. I...

Re: Forcing MacPro 1,1 to run Mountain Lion?

OK, now I gotta try this because I have a 2,1 lying around doing nothing at all.

It would be cool to have a second DP at home rather than my studio (which is not at home but rather at my office).

Imogen Heap is unhappy with Avid and Pro Tools and tweeting about it.
Hey @AvidProTools I want to buy a new desk but I can't sell this ICON because you don't support it anymore. I'm £20k down! Ideas please!
She reads her tweets.
