Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)

Okay, NOW I'll take a break. Gold Complete 1.2... Please do...have you even USED DP7 yet??? When you happen to get the itch to do some tweaking again on the Gold, is there anything you can do to get the edges of the clock gradients in Control Panel to match? That vertical line gives an otherwise st...

Under the DP7 Help Menu is "Download Digital Performer Updates", but that just functions as a hyperlink to the MOTU site. Convenient, but not live per se.

Help: Need TDIF Sync How-To

I need to pull some old tracks off a Tascam DA38... I connected TDIF and Word Clock cables to my 2408 MKII and slaved the DA38 to DP7. That works fine except that I previously used 4 of these machines, so I need to transfer 4 tapes (32 tracks) back to DP7 in sync (using one DA38). My interface is th...

Re: Nomad Factory Group Buy @ DontCrack.com

Nevertheless We do monitor users feedback and we'll tale all comments in consideration when launching the next release of the "Producer Pack"... And all previous users will have a free upgrade on that! just be patient! I gave up trying to read between the lines on this one...I went ahead ...

I too was reading through the PDFs and was excited to see the Blue DeEsser...very happy with the deal, but rats!

Re: Lexicon announces Native Reverb plug!

I still use TC and Lex HW reverbs some because I have a digital console and they're convenient... I don't have a Digital Console, but I finally shut down all my outboard because of the ability plugins offer of remembering their settings. When using outboard gear, I didn't know if a knob was tweaked...

Re: Nomad Factory Group Buy @ DontCrack.com

I too have jumped on this sight unseen...but my arsenal was only what I had from MOTU, so it sounds like a great package to start with. My engineering experience was always based on the use of outboard gear. It was only recently that I revamped my studio and pretty much dumped it all. I didn't have ...

Re: PDF DP Manual?

How many of you use the online help? It's pretty good these days, for finding stuff. Just go to the help menu and turn it on. ...and with that you have officially shut me up. TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE HELP DOC. Indeed, I typed in "NAME" and sure enough, it pointed me to the hidden TakeFile...

SysEx for JV1010 Clock Sync

I was not able to find an answer for this anywhere...Google...this board...other boards. But I stumbled on the answer FINALLY. Problem: I have a Roland JV1010 that I just love. But many of the patches are tempo based with no way to adjust the tempo through the interface. My Solution: This solution a...

Re: PDF DP Manual?

Yeah, I hope MOTU never gives up the printed manual. It's definitely a plus for me. So, I am all good with the printed manual, and am not suggesting that it be replaced at all...just supplemented. When I did search this topic previously, it seemed like the solution always digressed to having one or...

Re: PDF DP Manual?

I did it! I scanned all 1088 pages of the DP7 manual! And damn what MOTU says, I'm posting it here and now. Here is the last page of the book as a sample of the quality. If you like the way it looks I'll see about posting the rest. This is fully searchable and lightening fast. Beats the pants off t...

Re: Convert mod wheel to CC11 globally in DP

I too use MIDI Pipe and love it. I have several MIDI Pipe setups saved on my desktop and just double click the one I need. Super fast...Super Convenient. I've done some really complex setups, and not a hickup at all. It did take me a little experimenting to learn the INs and OUTs...if you are intere...

Re: PDF DP Manual?

If you think PDF manuals are inherently better indexed, recent experience tells me that's not necessarily the case. I looked up a Sibelius 6 function in its PDF manual. I made sure to enter the search terms precisely, and got nothing. Just to make sure it was poor indexing and not me, I even took t...
