Re: Folddown plugins that are DP compatible
i found in the past that outputting first as discreet 5.1 files.. then importing those 6 mono files back into dp would give better results.. as u can do a few spot checks here an there,, tweak the overall channel level

Re: quietiest mac
thanks all! my cat loves to hang around on my machine - seems its a nice warm spot.. I'm prob gonna put the machine outside.. might just be doable! maybe I have to daisy chain with firewire to get my vid card connected up... gonna give it a go and maybe a hoover on the inside to remove the furballs....

my mac pro is starting to get louder ( or maybe its my imagination - well the CarbonCloner better save my bacon  !!) actually this mac pro has had a good run - and is still earning its crust! but I got a bunch of fun little jobs coming up - and I'm thinking about doing some self op'ing foley ...

sample patches distributon prevention
just say I have a bunch of patches I have made for a sampler.. they might be quite useful to some people... how may I *share* these but make it difficult for them to be passed on to other people? or uploaded to internet etc. I guess some kind of format that requires an iLOk or other authorisation,,,...

Re: Editing Soundbites In DP 7.24
invisibly! like other software does! when ever I copy a clip it is a new instance - no need to "edge edit" to make it a "unique" bite - of course somewhere in the background DP maybe doing some kind of count to keep track.... but frankly in what 10 years? of using DP I have never...

Re: Editing Soundbites In DP 7.24
yeh its DP showing its musical heritage,, I think the concept was you could edit every hi hat hit in one go or something. its something thats annoying to me if I forget to turn it back on after flushing my prefs or something... since I dont ever use it off... its also annoying if I copy SFX for a fl...

Re: DP 8.1 Wishlist
yeah the consolidated windows arent really that flexible.. I'd love to have 5 or 6 EQ windows arranged nice and large in them...ltho I am tryin to get to grips with using ht eEQ controls in the mixer... or how about the "audio plug ins (audiosuite like) reverse audio etc.. mind you have to say ...

Re: DP 8.1 Wishlist
that colour thing would be nice in the mixer as well... yes the little label follows... but sometimes, when looking at the mixer on a 24 inch mon, it would be much clearer if the entire strip could be differentiated from its neighbour!

Re: DP 8.1 Wishlist
I don't know if it has already been mentioned. In the Sequence Editor window, it will be nice to have the possibility to use colors for the automation (the lines I mean). When you use automation for many parameters it is very difficult to visualize exactly the automation with all the black lines. A...

Re: name audio file and soundbite
true but..... if I rename a clip - yes I can drag them out ( one by one only) and it will have that new given name in the finder.. the fun begins if you drag them back into DP from the finder... becos they show up in DP under the old name.. altho in the sound bites window you can see the "sound...

Re: name audio file and soundbite
I'm gonna do a "me too! " on this.. this bites me a lot! I'd put this in the 8.1 wish list as well! using the sound bites window - you have to copy an paste.. which kind of sucks.. have to use a vulcan death grip on the keyboard ( control option command L ) to select the clip in the soundb...
